DYW Live Maths Week Scotland

To Celebrate Maths Week Scotland, DYW Live has a day of live webinars taking place on Thursday 26th September. The theme for Maths Week Scotland 2024 is 'Maths Tales' and we will be exploring how maths is used to tell stories. Whether it’s the link between maths and the sea, or the stories in games design, we've speakers to help show that maths is indeed everywhere and highlight the importance of maths in all careers.

Sessions will be 30 minutes and will be delivered via Microsoft Teams (Glow not required). Sessions are planned for 09:45, 10:45, 11:45 & 13:45.

  • 9:45 - Hans Unkles, fisherman and boat builder
  • 10:45 - Eliza Ralph, founder of Spectral Wrender
  • 11:45 - Mary Sowter, mechanical engineering student
  • 13:45 - TBC

Best suited for S1 - S3.

All sessions are free to attend. Sessions will also be recorded and available on this webpage afterwards.
