Trinity House Doors Open Day Weekend
Trinity House is home to a treasure trove of fascinating maritime memorabilia. Once the headquarters of the Incorporation of Mariners and Shipmasters, today visitors can explore an eclectic mix of artworks, navigational equipment, and curiosities collected by sailors from Leith throughout the centuries and from all the corners of the globe.
Learn about trade routes used by seafarers leaving the port of Leith and discover how maths is used in a maritime setting. Visit the sixteenth century vaults, once the home of Leith Academy where mathematics and navigational skills were taught to the sons and apprentices of shipmasters. Drop in crafts and activities suitable for all ages available throughout the weekend.
Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September, 11am - 4pm both days. Free, no booking required.
