Christmas Tree Circle Art
Activity Type: Painting
Best suited for: Early & First Level / Age 0-4, 5-7
Maths involved: shapes
Materials needed:
- Sheet of paper
- Cardboard tube
- Green paint
- Brown paint
- Paint in a few other colours
- Paint brush
- Cotton buds
- Yellow card or paper, scissors & glue (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Dip the end of the cardboard tube in to the green paint, and print circles on to the paper. Layer the circles to create a tree shape.
Step 2: Using the paintbrush and brown paint, add a tree trunk to the tree
Step 3: Dip the cotton bud in to the other colours of paint, and use them to dab ‘baubles’ on to the tree.
Optional: Cut out a star from yellow paper or card and add it to the top of the tree. If the paint is still wet, you can press it in to the paint and when it dries it will hold. Otherwise just use glue to sick down the star.
