Nature by Numbers

Step into the world of numbers hidden in nature! Through our Nature by Numbers activity boxes, families and school groups will discover the fascinating patterns found in flowers, pine cones, fossils, and more. Guided by the Fibonacci sequence, participants will explore how these patterns shape the natural world and even create their own designs inspired by this mathematical wonder.
The adventure continues beyond the activity boxes with a special discovery trail around Dundee Science Centre - where the very building itself was designed using the Fibonacci sequence. Together, we’ll uncover how maths and nature intertwine, showing that beauty, growth, and patterns are all connected by numbers.
All Nature by Numbers activities are included in the standard admission ticket, the cost of which is:
- Adults: £6.95
- Seniors & Students: £6.00
- Children age 3-15: £5.50
- Infants age 1-2: £4.50
- Babies: Free
