Take a self-led tour around Stirling University campus and discover how there is mathematics in architecture, art and nature. The Maths Trail includes an activity sheet with some puzzles aimed at age 8-12, so would make a nice family activity, but the walk itself is suitable for all ages.
If you are arriving by car, there is a small parking spot right by the trail, and a larger car park a little further outside the Willow Court halls of residence.
You can download the trail below, which includes the trail itself, the activity sheet, and a map. If you have a smart phone, you can open a copy of the map in the Google Maps.
We have another fun maths game to share with you today. Sim is a pen & paper game for two players. It's named after cryptographer and mathematician Gustavus Simmons, who first introduced the game in 1969.
Today we have a really simple game to share with you, that can be played at home, on the go, or in the classroom. The game encourages multiplication and addition skills, and also requires some strategic thinking and considering the probability of what numbers you are going to roll.
