Virtual Maths Circle (for 11 - 14 year olds)

Online 7th Oct 6.00pm-7.00pm Free

The popular Virtual Maths Circles hosted by The University of Edinburgh continue!

A Virtual Maths Circle is an event via Zoom for families.

During the virtual event, participants can join different "Breakout Rooms". In each breakout room a Maths Circle host will explain how to solve two of the puzzles that we will send out. Participants will be able to listen to the host, discuss ways to think about the problem, ask questions and then move to a different breakout room if they want to try other problems.

To facilitate interaction and better tailor the activities, the October 2025 Virtual Maths Circle will consist of two sessions. This session on 7 October is for 11 - 14 year olds and their families. There will be another session on 6 October for 7 - 11 year olds.

Participants are welcome to attend either of the slots, or both, according to their preference and the age of the children. The event is free to attend, but booking is required. Please register for the 7 October session via the link below.
