We’re very excited to announce our Countdown to the Christmas Holidays! With only three weeks to go until Scottish schools start their Christmas holidays, we'll be sharing seasonal maths inspired activities every day from 1 to 20 December 2022, to make the wait a little more fun.
We'll be sharing the activities every day on our social media channel every morning on Twitter and on Facebook, as well as here on the website. You can look forward to a mix of puzzles, art and crafts, games, and more.
The activities will be for a mix of ages and will be most suitable for Early Years to Lower Secondary School, though older children may also enjoy taking part.
Maths Week Scotland is back for 2026 with the theme Maths Matters. To celebrate our tenth year, we will have an extended gala week running over two weekends, from Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 September.
It is almost time for the RSPB Big Schools’ Bird Watch – the largest citizen science project for schools across the UK. Sign up to take part, from 6th January- 13th February 2026.
