The arrival of April in Edinburgh means daffodils, rain showers and the return of Edinburgh Science Festival! This years theme is Revolution and explores the revolution in science and ideas including the science, industrial, climate and data revolution. We've hunted out some of our mathsy highlights from the programme

The Datasphere exhibition at National Museums Scotland explores how data is collected analysed and used to understand the world around us. Adults can enjoy the exhibits with a drink and a DJ at Data After Dark on Thursday 21 April - a chance to be a big kid yourself!

Also at the National Museum Scotland you can use your logical thinking to build and code Lego robots for a penalty shoot out at Bricks and Blocks or find the circles in Maths, nature and everywhere!

There's plenty more to explore beyond data! Take a Mathematical Walking Tour through Edinburgh to discover where . Meanwhile little ones can go adventure with Captain Galileo and the Quest for Gold

Head to the Science Festival website to see the full programme and book your place
