Finn's Wild Maths Adventure Winners
It's time to announce some more winners from this year's Maths Week creative contests.
Finn’s Wild Maths Adventure was aimed at Early Level learners, with ELC settings and Primary 1 classes encouraged to share the Wild Maths they had discovered around them. The format was free choice, and we received over 50 entries, including drawings, photographs, collages, written stories, essays, and videos.
ELC Winner
Congratulations to Kinnaird Waters ELCC from Falkirk, who impressed us with their video which not only showed the group having fun with maths outdoors in nature and around their community, but also highlighted the links between the different maths concepts and the activities the children were engaging with.
You can view their winning entry over on Bluesky.
P1 Winner
Congratulations to Northmuir Primary School from Angus, who also shared a video showing all the maths they had explored and discovered in their school and playground. We particularly liked their weather charting activities, which ran throughout the week - recording the weather twice a day, analysing and presenting the data both digitally and in a human pictogram, and then using their knowledge of weather symbols to create their own outdoor board game with directional instructions.

P1 Runner-up
As we received quite a few more entries in the P1 category, we also chose a runner-up. Congratulations to Ardler Primary School from Dundee, for their photo journal highlighting all the maths they discovered and explored together during the week.
Thank you to everyone who entered. We really enjoyed going through all the submissions, and hope you had fun exploring Wild Maths together!
