The Colour of Maths
When you think of maths what colour comes to mind? Visitors to Glasgow Science Centre have been asked exactly that and we can now reveal the results!
Maths is...RED

Glasgow Science Centre have spent the last few months creating a Sierpinski Triangle, a triangle with a repeating pattern. Wooden triangles were sent to schools and community groups near Glasgow Science Centre as well as Aberdeen Science Centre and National Museum of Scotland for Maths Week Scotland. People were asked to add a sticker of what colour they think maths is, choosing between red, yellow, green and blue. For many it was whatever colour their maths notebooks were at school! After counting up the stickers the results are in and maths is red!
The finished art piece will go on display at Glasgow Science Centre. Do you agree with the results? Get in touch and let us know what colour you think maths is.
