Becoming an actuary...get paid to predict the future

Online 24th Sep 6.00pm-7.00pm Free

Do you enjoy maths at school? Wondering how to turn your love for maths into a high-impact, well-paid career? A career as an actuary might be for you!

Join our free interactive masterclass and discover what it's like to be an actuary!

How much would it cost to insure Sabrina Carpenter’s world tour - from her voice to her travel and stage setup? What’s the risk of Lewis Hamilton racing at 200mph in Monaco where one crash could cost millions? These are the kinds of real-life questions actuaries help answer - and now it’s your turn to learn more about the way actuaries think!

Not sure what an actuary does? We’ve got you covered! Our session will answer common questions and provide a clear understanding of the profession:

  • What is an actuary?
  • Why is becoming an actuary a great career choice?
  • Where do actuaries work, and what do they do?
  • How can you become an actuary?

This event is designed for pupils aged 16+ (e.g., S4, S5, and S6 level) who are considering a career in mathematics, finance, or data science.

Free but booking required. Register via the link below.
