Maths Week Scotland 2025: What's On for Families & Adults

We are delighted to be offering a programme of family activities again for this year's Maths Week Scotland (22 September - 28 September), as well as some events just for adults. Check out our day-by-day listings below to find out what's on each day, or hop over to our handy events map to quickly see what events are happening closest to you. We will be updating this, as new events come in, so please keep checking!

Competitions

The following competitions are open to entries from families and home learners, as well as schools, and are accepting entries from 1 September onwards:

  • 1 September - 3 October: Finn's Wild Maths Adventure Contest for children in ELC settings and Primary 1
  • 1 September - 3 October: Maths Tales story writing contest for children in Primary 2 - Primary 7 (in partnership with Read Write Count with The First Minister)
  • 1 September - 3 October: Fibonacci Poetry Contest for pupils in Secondary School and for independent adults
